Our Crafting Process
Meet Our Artisans
Every piece begins with the people behind it. Our small team of dedicated woodcarvers has spent years — some, decades — perfecting their craft. Trained in traditional hand-carving techniques, each artisan brings quiet precision and genuine care to every piece they create. No assembly lines. No shortcuts. Just skilled hands and a deep respect for the material.
Selecting the Wood
We use only naturally fallen basswood — never harvested from living trees. Basswood is chosen for its fine, even grain and ideal carving density. Each piece of wood is hand-inspected before use, ensuring it is free from cracks, knots, or inconsistencies. This careful selection is the foundation of every charm we make.
Hand Carving
Using traditional carving knives, each charm is shaped entirely by hand. No molds. No machines. Our artisans carve every curve, ear, and expression one cut at a time. The process is slow and deliberate — because the details are what make each piece feel alive. Every charm is unique, shaped by the hands that made it.
Hand Painting
Color is applied by hand using fine-tipped brushes and layered with care. Each charm goes through multiple rounds of painting — base coat, detail work, and finishing touches — to achieve depth and character. The palette is kept warm and natural, complementing the wood beneath. No two pieces are painted in exactly the same way.
